Modern Jazz Today Episode #144, I have always admittedly been a fan of the comedy series The Andy Griffith Show,
the antics between Barney & Andy in the early episodes and the chemistry between the two comedians was apparent. So, when I saw the Jack Mouse Group did a play on words with their tune “Barney’s Fife,” I had to play it. Its off their album Intimate Adversary on Tall Grass Records.
Latin jazz is always my “go to” happy music, who better to ignite that feeling than Chucho Valdes. He has a new album out on Mack Avenue Records called Jazz Bata 2. I featured the tune “Chucho’s Mood.” I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
