Guitarist and composer José de Lucía comes from a long line of musicians. In fact, he is the nephew of one of the most recognized guitarists in the world, Paco de Lucía, the brother of Spanish singer Malú and son of the singer ‘Pepe de Lucía’. His new self-titled album is brimming with brilliant flamenco playing. On Episode #126 “Alaire” opened the show. The track features traditional flamenco harmony and a beautiful melody with Jose’s flawless improvisational performance of tirando and picado passages that are energetic and flow with musicality.
