The devastation through the panhandle was heart wrenching. Once it hit the Evans, GA. area, it luckily had downgraded to a TS with 45 to 70 mile an hour winds, our main concern was we were in the numerous tornado category due to the eye passing right over us. We got very lucky, with only downed trees and some damages throughout the city, we made it through what had not come to our area since the 1800s. In the new discovery’s category, we took a look at Casey Golden, a pianist and composer involved in a wide variety of original projects in both Australia and the UK. The track “Still Life” off the Atlas album.
In the unearthed gems category, we jumped into the vocal lane with Sarah Vaughn. She has always been a favorite for me. We focused on the track “Have You Met Miss Jones” off the album Sarah Vaughn Sings the Standards.
